Weapon & skill:: Snowglobe Time Barrier - Creates a circular barrier that, once entered, "freezes" time and slows the movement of those who attack her, while she (and anyone she chooses) is able to move unaffected by the barrier. Don't mess with her when she's like this, it will not end well. Stubborn - It takes a lot to change her mind, she's dead set on what she does.
Brief Bio:: Short Version (just in here until I finish the longer version and submit it seprately)
When Bethel was born, her mother died and left behind her baby girl and husband in the process. Isar tried his best to be a good father and often told the young Bethel not to go anywhere near stardust lest she have the fate of her mother. She agreed out of love for her father, but found that she needed to defy her father's wishes in order to make him happy. When he found out about her defiance, Isar made her help him pack up so that they could hide from any saturations that could attack.
The saturations were more intrigued in why a being like Bethel would enter their nest without fear, and the death of her father was just a bonus for them before they were forced to flee from the newly made hue's protection. After that she was found by a group of hues sent by the banker Patrick. They convinced her to come with them after they earned her trust when they protected her from a saturation attack lead by a saturist. She and one person barely made it out alive before they made it to the castle.
Long Version:
The day her mother died, Bethel was born; that day a slayer had attacked their camp. Saturation attacks had been common since Layh had come across some stardust accidentally and ate it. The young woman saw this as an adventure and knew what she was doing. When she obtained her weapon, a trident, Layh would constantly fight the saturations that would come near her camp, being the ever brave hero. At a point in her life she fell in love with a colorless named Isar. They fell in love and married. Ever since their marriage the saturations seemed to increase in number, always going after the hue. Isar became worried his wife would die any day, and often he begged her not to fight them, for them to flee and keep moving towards a safer area. She obviously wasn't a fan of this and convinced her husband to let them not move too quickly through the land, that it would all be fine. Reluctantly, the colorless man agreed.
As their lives progressed, Layh became pregnant. It was the best day of their lives. Isar somehow contacted a group of hues who he thought could help his wife in her time of labor. The reply was sent back and Isar was overjoyed to hear that they would come and escort them to a safer area on Maura. Now filled with relief, he set the letter amongst his things. A short time later, Layh found the letter amongst his things and became angry that he would request when she thought they didn't need it. With a short window of time, the Hue contacted the group and told them to not come, that it was unnecessary. When the group of hues didn't arrive, Isar grew furious with time. Layh tried to consol him without divulging what she had done, while he tried to not reveal to her about the letters. He became so frustrated with the hues after that, he didn't trust another hue. Weeks later he forgot about the incident with the Hues and focused more on helping his wife get around the camp they would set up.
One day Isar had to go to a town to get some supplies for Layh. She, being restless in the area, asked one of the people who were traveling nearby to walk with her while she got some fresh air. They were attacked by a rouge saturation, which resulted in it's defeat, but also the premature labor of the hue. Taking her back to the camp, they helped her give birth to a lovely baby girl. Layh died before seeing her daughter, and when Isar came back, he found out about the news and was devastated. The only things he had left of his wife was her bloodstained necklace and barrette that had become the color of the stardust she had eaten years prior.
Now with their child to take care of, he set off quickly for the less saturation populated areas. Bethel was very curious about everything as she grew up. Her father often talked of her mother, and how he didn't want Bethel to become a hue. The child agreed only because she loved her father. When she was a bit older he gave Bethel her mother's possessions, as a hopeful reminder that she wouldn't become a hue. Bethel could sense they were colored, but she could only see grey. At one point she could sense the color was starting to fade. Feeling panicked, because she knew her father cherished the objects, the young colorless child tried to find a stardust with the same color as her mother's.
Not too far from their current camp was a stardust nest that seemed to have been abandoned by Saturations with hardly any left, if any. The child, about 11, tried to look for a stardust that remained. To her luck there was one that matched her mother's color. Quickly eating it, and hurrying back to the camp, she didn't notice the dormant Saturations in the cave, who had gained an interest in the colorless-now-turned-hue who had dared come into their domain, followed her to the camp. When her father found out about what his child had done, by seeing that she was glowing from the stardust she had eaten, he made them start packing, in fear that Saturations would come after them.
As they were packing, Isar's fears were realized, the Saturations from the nest were going after his child. In an effort to keep her safe, he used himself to fight them off. His plan worked, his daughter was safe, but, as a result, he had been erased from the world. Having just witnessed her father die because of her mistake, Bethel mourned for her father. The saturations left soon after, affected by the perimeter all new hues had. Now without anyone to take care of her, the child stayed in the camp, feeling a little safe after the creatures had fled.
A few days later a group of hues came looking for the new made hue. Residing in the camp, she hid in a sleeping bag when she heard the intruders approaching. The group sent one in to talk to the frightened 11 year. After an attempt to collect her from the camp, their efforts were interrupted by an attack from a large herd of saturations, with a saturist leading the attack. With a battle eminent, they attempted to fight off the herd with two casualties from their side. Eventually the herd was sedated and the two lone survivors, Bethel and a young yellow hue named Dustin, left the area and traveled towards the great city.
[tbc and shortened]
Extra: Her secondary colors are #48844c (green) and #603478 (purple) Her father did teach her how to read, and often traded books with other travelers for her to read in their down time. After coming to the city, she has had teachers educate her on more complex subjects, such as history. She does not like to be called "kid", even though she acts like a child half the time. She often makes gifts for everyone she knows and likes. She often writes things down in journals. To date she has about 7 journals, all filled with information about her life and what has been happening around her. She has separate journals for other things (i.e. What she's eaten, Books she should read, important things other people say). Usually at least one journal is kept with her to jot down things she needs to remember. For those whom she is very close, Bethel kisses them on the cheek when parting and very rarely does it in greeting. [tbc]
